Self-Express Dance Company is a NEW DANCE STUDIO that focuses on the true art of dance. Dance is an expression of one’s emotions and feelings through movement. As stated in the name, Self-Express Dance Company, each student is given the tools and the space to express themselves through movement and music. We provide an encouraging and supportive environment for our students so that they feel important, special, and comfortable to express their true selves through their dancing. Our studio goes against the competition mentality that is popular in the dance industry.

A competition, to us, is another chance for our students to do what they love, to support one another, and to share their passion and love with others. We focus on building the students’ self-esteem so that they feel good about themselves and therefore strive to compete against who they were yesterday rather than against other students.

 

Self-Express Dance Company believes in teamwork wholeheartedly. Each student in our studio builds one another up and works together to accomplish their goals. We are not only a dance company, we are a family through working hard towards our goals together and sharing our experiences, good and bad, with one another. The most important thing for our Dance Company is that each student feels good about themselves. Each person has passion inside them and our goal as a studio is to be the spark that ignites each student to strive to be the best they can be, in dance and in life.
